Creative Facilitator: drawing from a diverse portfolio of professional skills in natural history, education, business, science and the arts, I work to create awareness and appreciation for the significance of our natural world through creative partnerships between the public and private sectors.

INTERPRETIVE NATURALIST / PARK AND MUSEUM SPECIALIST / EDUCATOR

Naturalist and educator with extensive experience in park interpretation and natural history exhibit design.

Artist-In-Residence. Working in partnership with the National Park Service, provided interpretation of National Parks through drawing, writing and musical expression for and with the public. The program was conducted in 6 National Parks including Yellowstone, Redwood, Canyonlands and Mesa Verde.

Assistant Director. Jay C. Hormel Nature Center. Assumed full administrative responsibilities in the development of this Regional Natural History Center including programming, curriculum, exhibits and promotional materials.

 Regional State Park Naturalist. Administrator of the Naturalist’s Program for the Southwestern Region of Minnesota. Supervised 30 summer naturalists, interns and volunteers. Administered budgets, programming and planning.

Professional experience in audio and video production

“Wild Side News”: Host/Producer. Weekly Internet radio and now TV program at www.wildsidenews.com. 250 weekly shows produced and featuring news and in-depth interviews with the world’s leading environmental and nature advocates including Dr. David Suzuki, Jane Goodall, John Perkins, Dr. Mark Bekoff. “If you like Nature, you’ll love the Wild Side News.” Current.

 

“Leaving Footprints”. DVD. Produced and edited this 12 minute video for St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Encinitas, California. Included interviews with leaders in the church and clips of congregation at worship and at play. Used to assist their capital campaign.

 

Laudenslager Kinetic Sculpture: Produced and edited a series of 3-10 minute video showcases featuring the work of world-renowned kinetic sculptor Jeffery Laudenslager. This included creating and producing original musical beds. Ongoing.

 

BLISSworks!: Total Body-Mind Fitness / The Original Workout. DVD. produced and edited this hour-long training video for professional women’s golf pro Jamie Leno Zimron.
